Theodore Roosevelt Moore, 88, of 3878 Grifton-Hugo Road-Grifton, transitioned on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at his home.

He was born in Lenoir County, North Carolina, on October 4, 1935, to the late Theodore Roosevelt Moore, Sr. and Lucille Moore. He attended the Lenoir County Public Schools and graduated from Kinston High School.

Theodore was a member of Savannah Free Will Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and a trustee. He was also a member of the Grifton Masonic Lodge.

Theodore was a retired farmer and a truck driver. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Mary Alice Moore; his children, Theodore Roosevelt Moore, III (Brenda), Brenda Moore (Tony), and James Moore (Sharon); his grandchildren, Theodore Roosevelt Moore, IV, Michael Moore, Ashley Moore, and Anthony Moore; and his great-grandchildren, Theodore Roosevelt Moore, V, and Michael Moore, Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, October 9, 2023, from Savannah Free Will Baptist Church; burial will follow in the church cemetery.
